Diagnostic Imaging

Aspen Valley Hospital's Diagnostic Imaging Department extends far beyond its non-urban setting. With a cutting-edge digital computer networking system, AVH is able to access the expertise of 40 off-site radiology specialists in Denver. These physicians are members of Radiology Imaging Associates, an alliance of radiologists in Colorado. The digital imaging equipment allows AVH to send an image to a specialist best suited to read the scan and make a diagnosis in a matter of minutes.

Diagnostic Imaging includes X-rays, CT scans (computed tomography with the GE Discovery 750), MRI scans (magnetic resonance imaging), digital mammography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, non-surgical biopsies, bone densitometry, and nuclear medicine.
